Deciding on THE Dress

Cor Sunglao, one of my dearest friends who's been with me since I was 13, has become one helluva talented designer. So when it came to deciding who'll be making THE dress, it was really a no-brainer.

A few days ago, we headed over to Atelier de Cor for a fashion brainstorm.






With fascinators on our heads, we were able to get down to business - decide on colors and the kinds of material that we'll be using. Oh God, I never knew that there were too many kinds of white. It was confusing! I thought it was going to be easy. Hah! That was a wrong thought.





Thank heavens Cor was there. And she was super kind enough to walk me through the whole color/cloth decision making process.



What a happy thought: That on my wedding, I'll be wearing a Cor Sunglao.

Wedding Colors

For our color palette, this is the inspiration - Café Terrace at Night, an oil painting by Melvene's favorite artist, Vincent Van Gogh. This is my favorite painting! It was painted by Van Gogh in Arles, France on September 1888.



Today, the Cafe is still exists, but is now named Cafe Van Gogh. I'd love to see the cafe someday. (Photo from Wikipedia)
